Who I Work With

My clinical experience and interests center around identity, relationships, belonging, and the ways our histories and environments shape how we move through the world. I especially enjoy working with clients whose experiences don’t always fit neatly into traditional categories or approaches to therapy.

Areas of particular experience and interest include:

  • LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences

  • Gender identity, exploration, and transition

  • Family conflict related to identity, values, culture, or acceptance

  • High-performing anxiety, perfectionism, and the pressure to appear “fine”

  • Multicultural and cross-cultural experiences

  • Immigration, citizenship, and mixed-status family dynamics

  • Postpartum adjustment, early motherhood, and shifts in identity after becoming a parent

  • Childhood trauma and understanding how early experiences continue to influence adult relationships and patterns

  • Self-harming behaviors and developing safer, more sustainable ways of coping with emotional distress

  • Isolation, loneliness, and building meaningful connection, friendship, and community

  • Parent-child relationships, particularly conflict or disconnection with teenage and adult children

  • Navigating competing identities, expectations, roles, and senses of belonging

I’m particularly drawn to work that allows room for complexity. You may deeply love your family while also recognizing ways they have hurt you. You may feel proud of your culture while questioning some of its expectations. You may be highly capable and successful while privately struggling with anxiety, loneliness, or self-doubt. Therapy doesn’t require reducing those experiences to one problem or choosing one part of yourself over another.

My approach is affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in curiosity about the whole context of your life—not simply your symptoms.
